…MUNICIPALITY ENSURING CITY ROADS ARE IN GOOD RIDING QUALITY
The Municipal Council of Manzini is dedicated to maintaining the city’s road infrastructure in optimal condition to prevent flooding and ensure it is in a good riding quality. The Municipality’s dedicated teams were recently photographed hard at work in various sites. To further support these initiatives, the Municipality urges residents to refrain from disposing of waste in storm water drains as that can lead to blockages and increased flooding risks. Furthermore, those who usually fill potholes with loose soil are urged to stop this practice as it can exacerbate the problem. Citizens are encouraged to utilize the Municipality’s 24/7 Call Centre at (800 2004/2505 7000) for any municipal service delivery concerns or assistance.
…MUNICIPALITY GRATEFUL FOR EPTC’S GENEROSITY
The Municipal Council of Manzini extends her heartfelt gratitude to the Eswatini Post and Telecommunications Corporation (EPTC) for their generous donation of clothing, food and sweets to underprivileged children benefiting from the Ticancweni Social Centre. The social centre, one of eight within the Manzini urban area, provides one meal per day to those in need.
On Friday, over 40 children were excited to receive these much-appreciated items, brightening their day.
Comfort Myeni, EPTC Manzini Regional Manager, said the donation was testament to their Corporate Social Investment (CSI) philosophy. He mentioned that the City of Manzini and the Manzini region at large, was a significant contributor to the corporation’s revenue through internet and other services.
Myeni also commended the strong relationship between EPTC and the Municipality, emphasising that such collaboration motivated their support. He mentioned plans to explore further assistance for other social centres in the City of Manzini.
Meanwhile, Ward 4 Councillor Xolani Masuku expressed appreciation for EPTC’s generosity. He urged other businesses to follow EPTC’s example, adding that all eight social centres in the city were in need of community support.
