20 Years in the Making – New Manzini South Inkhundla Centre Unveiled!
After a 20-year-long journey, Manzini South finally has an Inkhundla structure befitting of the city’s vision to provide quality service and economic opportunities for all citizens of Manzini.
A true emblem of the transformational and unifying power of the Tinkhundla System, the newly-built Manzini South Inkhundla structure worth E3.5 million boasts all the facilities required for successful community gatherings and operations. It is located at Zakhele, a stone’s throw away from the Manzini Trade Hub.
Rooted in the founding spirit of Tinkhundla, this new centre is open to all residents of Manzini South where they will be welcomed by Inkhundla’s resident Secretary and Community Development Officer. Here, they can submit pertinent societal matters to the Inkhundla, as well as meet to discuss and resolve challenges faced in the community. A hub of development and economic empowerment, the Inkhundla centre will also serve as an accessible venue for hosting educational workshops and facilitating trainings that will empower the residents of Manzini South.
The centre was officially handed over to the Manzini South Inkhundla by the Minister of Tinkhundla Administration & Development during a ceremony held this past Monday.

“I would like to call upon the citizens of Manzini South to make great use of this Inkhundla centre for it has been developed to attend to their needs and better their lives. I encourage the youth to come here so they can be equipped on entrepreneurship and educated on available funding opportunities that they can benefit from through projects such as the Regional Development Fund (RDF),” explained Nxumalo.’
